Powerblok is Shape’s bespoke Battery Energy Storage System or BESS, available from a mini cabinet design to a grid scale 40ft container Powerblok is purpose built uniquely to the customer specification in 2-6 months.
Using the highest quality ISO-certified containers, ensuring requirements for deployment, capacity, availability, security and functionality are met. Powerblok’s housing protects against Earthquakes, Flooding, Fire, Vandalism, and Theft. Fitted with leading edge batteries selected for each application to optimise lifespan and high power output, Powerblok batteries are also coupled to a highly efficient power conversion system. The system is capable of operating in temperatures from -40 to +60 degrees at a round trip efficiency of 96%. With an effective service life of over 50,000 cycles or 20 years, Powerblok sets a new benchmark in energy storage performance and resiliency.
